The delegation included Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission andMinister of Defence General Ngo Xuan Lich; and Secretary of the Party Central Committee, member of the Central Military Commission’s standing board and Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army General Luong Cuong; among others.
They showed their immense gratitude towards PresidentHo Chi Minh, who founded, led, educated and trained the Vietnam People’s Army. The delegation then laid a wreath down at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.
The 11th Party Congress of the Vietnam People’s Army, 2020 - 2025 tenure opened on September 27 and is scheduled to run until September 30.
