Freshwater supplied to people in areas affected by saltwater intrusion

VTV.vn - In order to deal with the severe saltwater intrusion in Ben Tre province, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army instructed the Navy to mobilize vessels to supply fresh water to people in seriously affected areas.

On Sunday, Vessel 935 of Naval Squadron 811, Brigade 125, 2nd Regional Command departed from Ho Chi Minh City for Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province, carrying 250 cubic meters of fresh water for people in the region. Vessel 935 will continue to supply fresh water to the people of Ben Tre in the coming days. Four vessels are expected to provide a total of 1,000 cubic meters of fresh water to local people.
