VTV.vn - Hanoi has fully prepared human resources and equipment to meet the requirement of 5,000 - 20,000 beds for treating COVID-19 patients.

The plan was drafted based on the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic situation remains complicated in the capital city, with 60-80 confirmed cases per day, and that 80 percent of all confirmed cases have displayed mild symptoms.

All hospitals in Hanoi must be fully prepared with human resources, materials and equipment to meet the COVID-19 treatment requirements of the Ministry of Health, as the city also plans to add more hospitals to the list should the situation gets worse.

At present, six-teen hospitals in the city have been designated for COVID-19 treatment, namely: Hanoi Oncology Hospital, Dong Anh General Hospital, Hoe Nhai General Hospital, Hanoi Hospital of Traditional Medical, Ha Dong Hospital of Traditional Medical, Hanoi Rehabilitation Hospital, Vietnam-Cuba Friendship hospital, Hanoi Lung Hospital, Thuong Tin district General Hospital, Phuc Tho district General Hospital, Thanh Tri district General Hospital, Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Gia Lam district General Hospital, Bac Thang Long Hospital, and Hanoi Heart Hospital.

A 500-bed field hospital is under construction in Yen So Ward, Hoang Mai District, expected to come into operation in mid-August.
