VTV.vn - The Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) Cycling Tournament will go virtual from April 25 to May 30 and will be broadcast live on HTV due to concerns about COVID-19.

The event, hosted by HTV, is the first-ever virtual cycling tournament to be held in Vietnam.

Participating riders will compete in a simulated 3D environment, using their bike and the online companion app Zwift, which can be run on laptop or mobile devices.

The tournament had been scheduled for April 5-30 to mark the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30), and President Ho Chi Minh’s 130th birthday (May 19).

The tournament has been running for 31 years and is well established as the biggest cycling event in Vietnam, attracting the country’s most outstanding cyclists every year.
