On July 20, the Vietnam Television Documentation Center and Global Mobile Telecommunications Joint Stock Company (Gtel Mobile) held the launch of Online Bookcase. This is a joint event of both parties to develop the reading culture in the community.
This is also an event in response to the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1520/QD-TTg: Approval of the Program "Promotion of Lifelong Learning Activities in Libraries, Museums and Cultural Centers until the Year 2030".
Speaking at the opening of the signing ceremony, Nguyen Xuan Cong, Director of Vietnam Television Documentation Center, affirmed that in the past, when coming to the library, "readers have to move, knowledge stops, now the reader stops and knowledge moves". With time, libraries must also have innovations to better serve their readers.
Speaking at the signing ceremony on the morning of July 20, Dinh Dac Vinh, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, shared that although reading on mobile devices has some limitations, he hoped that in the future, online bookshelves will continue to be developed to serve the common goal of "bringing the love of books to the community".
