VTV.vn - On March 21, Long An International Port of Vietnam and Oriental Port and Allied Services Corporation (OPASCOR) of the Philippines signed a Letter of Intent to formalise the twinning relationship of two key ports in the ASEAN region at the Philippine Ports and Logistics conference and exhibition.

Chairman of the Board of Directors, General Director of Long An International Port Management and Operation Joint Stock Company Nguyen Thuy Quynh Huong, said participating in the Philippine Ports and Logistics Conference and Exhibition 2024, Long An International Port presented initiatives on economic and logistics development in the southern key economic region of Vietnam, through the formation of a sustainable green port in the future, reducing carbon emissions and optimising port operations by increasing efficiency and reducing operating costs for container terminals and bulk cargo.

The signing of the Letter of Intent marks an important turning point, formalising the twinning relationship of two key ports in the ASEAN region, opening up opportunities for cooperation and sharing experiences in port management and operation, market connection, and improving the output of imported and exported goods; toward the goal of green, sustainable development and promoting global trade.
