VTV.vn - An online music programme named “Show Your Love to Get Closer Together” was broadcast live on VTV1, at 8:10 pm on August 8.

This was a music night following the success of the concert of the same name which took place on June 27, which spread positive energy through music, and attracted the attention and support of many individuals, domestic and foreign organisations for the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund.

Coming to this special online music programme, the audience enjoyed special works composed and staged first during the epidemic season; At the same time, they listened to the artists' thoughts about the future, inner love and their desire for a more peaceful, better-oriented post-pandemic world.

In a special space without an audience, the show wanted to send a message: distance doesn't stop the artistic and spiritual love we share for each other.

Through the programme, viewers were connected online with photographer Minh Hoa from Dong Khoi Street. He is the author of many realistic and moving photos of Ho Chi Minh City in these days fighting against the epidemic - the image of a city that is "sick" but still radiating its own beauty. As a child born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City, he wants to capture these moments for future generations.

In addition, viewers were also connected with saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan, listening to him share his idea of participating in a performance at the No.3 and No.6 field hospitals in Thu Duc city and Ho Chi Minh City. Artist Tran Manh Tuan presented to the audience the performance "Me Yeu Con" - a song composed by musician Nguyen Van Ty in 1956 on the happiness of welcoming his little daughter, a song about both motherly love and love for the homeland.

The performances of participating artists were connected by teams from many places in Vietnam and across the world: singer Doan Trang from Singapore; singer Tran Thu Ha and musician Vu Quang Trung from the US; singer Le Cat Trong Ly from Kon Tum; singer Hong Nhung, saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan from Ho Chi Minh City; singers Thanh Lam, My Linh, Dalab group, and rapper Ha Le from Hanoi.

In the programme, some international art troupes from India (the Odissi Indian Art Troupe), Sri Lanka (Sri Lankan - Soul Sounds Academy Intermediate Choir), Philippines (Filipino Art Troupe - Mandaue Children & Youth Choir) also sent their repertoires and greetings to Vietnam.

The participation of famous artists created a quality, emotional art space for the online music programme “Show Your Love to Get Closer Together”, contributing to bonding and raising the spirit of the whole people in the fight against the epidemic.
