VTV.vn - Cristiano Ronaldo scored a thumping penalty and created goals for Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain as Juventus hammered 10-man Lecce 4-0 on Friday (June 26) to stretch their lead over Lazio at the top of Serie A to seven points.

Juventus, bidding for their ninth successive Italian title, moved to 69 points after 28 games, seven clear of Lazio who have a match in hand.

* Fans gathering at the Liverpool city centre for a second night in a row to celebrate their team's Premier League title win have been urged to return to their homes due to fears of a surge in COVID-19 cases. Thousands of fans turned up at Anfield stadium on Thursday to celebrate the win, and Merseyside Police issued a dispersal order on Friday after crowds gathered for a second consecutive night at the city centre near the Mersey Ferry terminal.

* Carlos Bilardo, the man who coached Argentina to victory in the 1986 World Cup, has tested positive for the new coronavirus.

* Sevilla missed out on an opportunity to move up to third in La Liga when they were held to a fourth consecutive draw in a 1-1 stalemate against visiting Real Valladolid on Friday. They trail third-placed Atletico Madrid, who have one game in hand, by one point, and lead fifth-placed Getafe, who host Real Sociedad on Monday, by five.

* Denny McCarthy has become the third golfer on the PGA Tour to test positive for COVID-19 and the American has withdrawn from the ongoing Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut, the Tour confirmed on Friday. Nick Watney was the first Tour player to test positive last week and Cameron Champ did so at a pre-tournament screening this week.

* The French Cup final between Paris St Germain and St Etienne has been rescheduled for July 24, the French football federation said on Friday. FFF president Noel Le Graet added that the League Cup final between PSG, who were crowned Ligue 1 champions after the season was officially halted on April 30, and Olympique Lyonnais, would be played a week later.

* Barry Fudge will step down from his role as British Athletics' Head of Endurance at the end of the month, the governing body said on Friday.

* Pakistan's team will arrive in England on Sunday before entering a two-week quarantine period ahead of their tour, the England and Wales Cricket Board said on Friday. Three test matches and three T20 internationals are scheduled behind closed doors.

* Tennis's flagship team events the Davis Cup and Fed Cup Finals have been postponed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Tennis Federation said on Friday. The women's WTA Tour is scheduled to resume in Palermo, Italy on Aug. 3 while the men's ATP Tour will resume at the Citi open in Washington D.C. also in August.

* Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli will not be available for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign due to a knee injury, the Premier League club said on Friday. Martinelli sustained a knock during training and has undergone a successful arthroscopic procedure to repair a lesion in the cartilage of the left knee, the club said.

* Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic is the latest to announce he has tested positive for COVID-19 following the ill-fated Adria Tour organised by Novak Djokovic. Ivanisevic, who is part of Djokovic's coaching set-up, said on Instagram that after two negative tests he had now tested positive.

* This year's Diamond League athletics meetings in Paris and Eugene have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organisers said on Friday. The organisers also confirmed the meeting at Gateshead in England, which was scheduled for Aug. 16, has been postponed.
