State budget revenue reaches over VND529 trillion in first five months

VTV.vn - As of May 15, the total revenue of the State budget reached VND529.6 trillion (over US$22.88 billion), equivalent to 35% of the yearly estimate, according to the General Statistics Office of Vietnam.

Of this, domestic revenue reached VND439.9 trillion, fulfilling 34.8% of the year’s target, while State budget collections from exports reached VND70.5 trillion, accounting for 33.9% of the year’s target.

Domestic revenues collected from State-owned enterprises reached VND52.9 trillion, 29.7% of the estimate, while budget collections from foreign-invested enterprises (excluding crude oil) reached VND79.5 trillion, fulfilling 34.8% of the 2020 target.

Revenue from non-state trade and services taxes reached VND82.9 trillion, equal to 30.6% of the yearly estimate, in addition to VND52.4 trillion collected from personal income tax, accounting for 40.7% of the year’s plan.

Total State budget expenditure in the first quarter of the year was estimated at VND537.4 trillion, 30.8% of the estimate. Of this, recurrent expenditure reached VND385 trillion, fulfilling 36.4% of the estimate.

Development and investment expenditure was at VND103.8 trillion, 22.1% of the estimate.
