Tax returns reach more than $386 mln for businesses

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, in the past 8 months, VAT refunds have been settled for more than 1,500 companies, with the total refunded amount reaching over 386 million USD, down more than 3% compared to the same period last year

Of which, tax refunds for exports accounted for the largest proportion at 89% of total dossiers and 92% of total tax refunds. Most tax refund applications are processed electronically.

In addition, in the past 8 months, the Tax Department of Ho Chi Minh City has inspected and examined more than 12,260 enterprises with tax collection, fines, and refunds reaching more than 107 million USD.
