VTV.vn - A conference themed "Vietnamese Airlines and Economic Recovery" was recently cohosted by Bamboo Airways and the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board in the coastal city of Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh province.

At the event, businesses and economic experts acknowledged government's timely support to help Vietnamese carriers navigate COVID-19 impacts. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has agreed to a 50% reduction in takeoff, landing, and operation service fees for domestic flights. And the National Assembly is considering reducing environmental protection tax on jet fuel by 70%.

Current trends in Vietnam's aviation are to open new domestic routes, reduce ticket prices, and promote cooperation among carriers and with tourist service providers to attract more customers.
