Vietnamese lychee sold at Singapore's supermarket chain
VTV.vn - Vietnamese lychee has officially been sold in FairPrice supermarket chain in Singapore.

This is the first year Singaporeans can enjoy Vietnamese lychees on a large scale. In the first week, Vietnamese lychee was sold at a promotional price of 5 Singapore dollars/kg and then returned to the standard 6 Singapore dollars/kg- the same price as Chinese lychees - in the following week.

Thanks to Vietnamese lychee's quality and color, the fruit was highly praised by Sinaporean consumers, so much so that they sold out in just 2 weeks.

According to Vietnam Trade Office, so far, 50 tons of Vietnamese lychees have been exported to Singapore from Hai Phong port and it is expected that 100 tons will be exported by the end of the lychee season.
