VTV 2019 International Children's Festival is a series of events and activities organized by Vietnam Television for the purpose of cultural exchange, strengthening the understanding and exploring the cultures and enhancing solidarity of children around the world.
This year's International Children's Festival under the theme Cultural Colors of the World is aimed at showing to the children the cultural beauties of the homeland, enhancing their appreciation and preservation of cultural traits of the country as well as helping them discover the richness and cultural diversity of countries in the world.
In particular, the night of Gala Cultural Colors of the World will offer the audience the special performances of the children from different delegations as well as that of the host country, especially a carnaval will be held by the riverside to show the unique culture and historical traditions of Hoi An town.
According the organizing board, this year's event will se the participation of 8 art groups including those from the Philippines, Indonesia, Korea, Russian Federation, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. The program will take place in Hoi An, Da Nang and Hanoi.
The opening ceremony of the festival will be held at 20:00 on May 31, 2019 in Quang Nam province and will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel.
