VTV won 04 National Awards on External Information
VTV.vn - At the 6th National Awards Ceremony on External Information held on July 28, Vietnam Television continued to affirm its position as the leading communication body by winning 4 awards.

The 6th National Prize for External Information was organized by the Central Communication and Education Commission of the Communist Party, the Central Steering Committee for External Information Work, Vietnam Television Station and related units.

Out of 1,331 works submitted for participation in many categories: print newspaper, electronic newspaper, television, photo report, book, video clip, initiative, among others, the Organizing Committee selected 175 best ones to bestow 18 First Prizes, 33 Second Prizes, 44 Third Prizes and 80 Consolation Prizes.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan affirmed that over the past time, the external information work has promoted the active and positive spirit and has been very effective. It has reflected clearly, promptly and transparently undertakings and policies of the Party and the State; sticking to the burning issues of the world and the country, contributing to raising awareness, enhancing social consensus, and actively promoting and introducing the image, people, history and culture of the country to the world, thereby the position, prestige and image of our country have been heightened in the international arena.

The Chairwoman of the National Assembly emphasized that in the coming time, relevant agencies and external information forces need to pay attention and well perform a number of jobs, including: to further deepen people’s awareness on the position of the country and the role and responsibilities of external information in the new situation; take advantage of the precious opportunities which are the country’s initial success in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic to enhance the promotion of the image of the country and people of Vietnam; promoting the synergy of the forces engaged in foreign information work; diversify external communication methods, among others.

Four awards that Vietnam Television won this year belong to the International Program Department:

First Prize: Documentary Between the Homelands of the authors Tran Thu Hien, Luu Hoai An, Cao Quang Toan, Pham Tuan Anh, Nguyen Hoang Hien.

Second Prize: the program “Thanks Vietnam” by the authors Le Hoang Linh, Pham Thuy Linh, Pham Hoang Nguyen, Nguyen Phuong Anh, Tran Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Tra Mi, Cao Quang Toan, Nguyen Van Tuy, Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, Nguyen Minh Cuong.

Two third prizes: The Fire Siege of the authors Nguyen Van Nam, Pham Trung Thanh, Vu Phi Hien, Hieu Constant, Dao Thanh Ha, Quan Thien Thanh, Phan Quy Chau, Nguyen Van Viet, Chu Van Chinh, Pham Tuan Anh, Mai Vietnam, Chu Manh Thang, Doan Mai Ha, Nguyen Van Tuy, Dao Van Nguyen, Nguyen Manh Hai, Nguyen Hoang Hien, Nguyen Minh Cuong, Nguyen Hoai Nam, Vu Quoc Dung, Hoang Hai Ha; and the Documentary Two Halves of the World by the authors Tran Thi Thu Ha, Le Minh, Le Trong Duc, Vu Duc Thien, Nguyen Tien Vu, Le Van Nhan, Nguyen Hoang Hien, Nguyen Viet Hai.

This year, Vietnam Television is the organizing unit of the 6th National External Information Awards. With the task of receiving the submissions and assisting the Preliminary Evaluation Council and the Final Council as well as working out scripts and broadcasting the awarding ceremony, VTV has promoted its active role in coordinating with relevant units to successfully organize the event.
