VTVcab to broadcast 2024 National Volleyball Championships using advanced graphics technology
VTVcab, which is responsible for the broadcasting of the entire tournament on TV and OTT platforms, will use advanced graphics technology for its live match broadcasts.

The 2024 edition will also be the first year in which the National Volleyball Championship will change its format (from group play to a round robin format). The tournament will feature more than 20 foreign players from many countries. VTVcab will use Computer Graphics (CG) technology for the first time in Vietnam to help improve the quality of the content and images produced during the tournament.

CG technology is very familiar to football fans as it is used in national and European football tournaments, but this technology has never been used for volleyball in Vietnam.

The sports production team at VTVcab have spent a great deal of time collecting data from each of the teams, filming each of the athletes and carrying out a very detailed post production.

These detailed images and statistics will also provide foreign teams with a more reliable source of data to use as a reference, opening the door for Vietnamese athletes to play for foreign clubs.

Watch the first phase of the 2024 Volleyball World Cup live from March 16 on ON Sports, ON and ON Plus apps.
