The third floor is the highest in the model of a 3-storey tower to treat critical COVID-19 patients.
The film crew of the Vietnam Television Center in the South region confined themselves for several days in the COVID-19 patient treatment center of military hospital 175 to make the documentary "The 3rd Floor".
The film revolves around the main characters who are the critical patients, the doctors who treat them and the nursing staff. The production team was well prepared in terms of safety factors for epidemic prevention.
"We decided to shoot this movie ourselves. We were instructed on how to dress, disinfect ourselves, and on infection prevention measures. Before entering the operating room, we had to thoroughly discuss with each other on how to work, because once entering, we would no longer be able to speak but only communicate by gestures," said Director Dinh Duong.
Director Nguyen Quang said, "The equipment we chose has to be compact to facilitate operation in narrow spaces."
The 3rd Floor is one of many documentaries made by the Vietnam Television Center in the South region. Although they tell different stories, the films are aimed at conveying an optimistic spirit and inspiring hope on a day of victory over the pandemic.
