The Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) in Hanoi is due to play host to an exhibition titled “Ao Dai and Flowers”, set to open on January 18 and will provide a unique Tet cultural space for lovers of flowers and Ao Dai, the nation’s national outfit.

The exhibition will feature work from renowned artist Lan Huong, in addition to international flower artisan Nguyen Manh Hung.

Moreover, the event will also put on display Ao Dai from the 1960s, including outfits that feature patterns of Hanoi’s rural gates, Dong Ho folk paintings, and flowers from all four seasons.

A total of six Ao Dai collections made from flower by artisan Nguyen Manh Hung are to be introduced to audiences during the occasion.

Furthermore, the exhibition will also include an Ao Dai flower collection by the VWM, a demonstration on ways to arrange flowers, showcases of fresh flower industry products, gift stalls, and flower industry publishing samples.

Visitors to the occasion will also be given the chance to experience cultural diversity through Virtual Reality technology during the exhibition.

This year’s event marks the second time that the VWM has organised the exhibition during Tet to help audiences enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year.
